Hee Carel,
Ik heb gehoord dat je eerstejaars IOer bent in Delft. Kan dat kloppen? Welnu, ben je nog steeds zo'n autofreak als toen je deze portfolio maakte? Het lijkt me erg leuk om op IO een schetsgroepje op te zetten. De focus gaat denk ik liggen op autoontwerpen en game/movie design. Ik heb dan wel enkele enthousiaste getalenteerde mensen nodig om de boel een beetje vorm te geven.
Laat snel wat van je horen.

ten eerste over die seat compositie: echt tof :D ik ben het helemaal met je eens, ze doen alsmaar hetzelfde... ik snap hun bedoeling niet helemaal, achter deze 'vernieuwde' model palet van hen...
ten tweede, je lagonda is aardig gelukt, alleen ik zou hem inderdaad iets meer kenmerken van aston martin en lagonda geven... hij kan nu ook als een ehm bijvoorbeeld een MG ofzo doorgaan [gewoon het eerste automerk wat in me opkwam] De lagonda was erg hoekig en plat, daar kun je wel wat meer mee denk ik.
ten derde, wilde ik even reageren op martijn lemmens' commentaar... ik moet wel zeggen, ik vind dat hij wel een beetje gelijk heeft, voorla bijvoorbeeld bij je passat. ik vind het niet zo erg, maar het is een beetje 'stom' om een soort remake van je eigen tekening terug te zien op jouw portfolio. ik zou het leuk vinden, en ook erg op prijs stellen, als je een meer wat eigen stijl zou ontwikkelen... en ik viond, met die tekening van de lagonda ben je aardig op weg :) natuurlijk ben ik zelf ook niet 100% origineel, natuurlijk heb ik ook vaak tekeningen van anderen bekeken en toen zelf iets in die richting gemaakt... maar bij jou werd het best wel opvallend. neem alsjeblieft dit, wat ik net heb geschreven niet als een belediging, of iets anders vervelends, maar juist als 'opbouwende kritiek', ik wil je niet afkraken maar juist aanmoedigen, ga zelf aan de slag, zodat je inderdaad ook wat meer naar voren komt. als je wilt, spreken we er op school nog ff over :)

Hey,
ben je toevallig geen familie van Rafael?
Je tekent namelijk precies dezelfde stijl als hij.
Misschien dat je zijn gevoel in jou handen hebt ofzo?
Maar het valt wel erg op dat de stijl bijna hetzelfde is aan die van rafael. Rafael is alleen net wat verder vind ik.
Misschien is het verstandiger om zelf een stijl te zoeken, en zelf een lijn maken. Waardoor je wat beter naar voren komt..
Zo vin ik het niet echt te beoordelen.

Thanks for your comment on my Peugeot..I think you have a loose and nice techique on your cars, and I like the perspective too. But pay attention to the lightning..Make a light source, and shades of the car..

Hey Carel, bedankt voor je post in mijn guestbook... en dank je voor het compliment... ik ben gelijk even bij jou gaan kijken... nou je gaat lekker zo te zien, je hebt al copic markers enzo...goed hoor!!! Met goed materiaal begint het.
Ik gebruik zelf heel weinig markers nog maar... al moet je het wel leren met die dingen ... dus gewoon mee doorgaan! Ik werk alleen nog maar digitaal. Met Painter (www.corel.com) en een wacom tekentablet (www.wacom.com) dat gebruiken ze op de designbureaus nu ook als standaard... al vergt dat veel oefenen. De Daf tekeningen zijn afkomstig uit painter en de rendering op de weg is gemaakt met Rhino (www.rhino3d.com) en 3d studio max (www.autodesk.com) ik hoop dat ik je zo voldoende heb geinformeerd... en anders stuur je maar een mailtje.

Hi Carel, r u fine?? At first, thank u very, very much to appreciate my sketch (I'm just an amateur designer).......and I use airbrush only in Corel photopaint 11 and digital tablet Aiptek.....some markers, pens and pastels too.
I don't know how to use aibrush machines, but it's very cool!!!!!
