Hello Ivan, thank you for the invitation, but I was not interested a lot because I decided to renew my sketches in Coroflot, you know it?
But your gallery is great, of first class, it is among the best ones than I already saw.
All the best...
Jony.

Hi Ivan, thank u so much....again for your comments about my designs.
But I remember one thing: to improve some designs, do u use any program with "beizer curve tool"....and apply colours with "airbrush" tool....maybe corel, or other free downloaded programs.....What do u think???

A hug

Hey man, Thanks for your comments. I checked your Portfolio. It's good, but I suggest you to take more time to make sure that the perspective is all right before rendering it. Good luck...

Hi Ivan, only today I read your message, and thank you very much for your comment on my drawings..
I already knew some your drawings, but to be seeing your portfolio, I think you have great ideas, however, I understand that you could improve the rendering....
Which pc programs do you use? Do you draw directly in the tablet, or do you make the sketches and later digitalize??

Well, maintain contact for us could change ideas, ok?
A great hug,
Jony.

Hi Ivan,

thankd for your message- I'm glad the tips were of some use. I'll try and answer some of your other questions - but give me a bit of time to pull some helpful info together.

Am I OK to email a reply to you at (ivan21501@hotmail.com), as it'll be too much info to post in your guestbook?

Ivan,

A few of my simple P/S tips:

I tend to start off with a neutral midtone "multiply" layer in photoshop to block in the overall silhouette of the design.

Then I use additional "multiply" layers to build up the darker tones.

I then use a 50% "colour dodge" layer to lay down the lighter tones - the colour dodge makes highlights rich and vibrant.

Finally, I use a "colour" layer to lay down the overall hue - which I can easily modify afterwards as necessary.

I usually use paths (for precision) or lassos (for speed) to define all the major regions to keep things crisp.

I do most of my major fills with various gradient tools, as it gives smooth transitions rather than airbrush by hand, which often looks wooly and uneven.

At the moment, I think you're using a lot of raw airbrush work - which can make things look a bit matt and fluffy.

Most improtantly: keep all of the principal colour and tone work on different layers. It makes it easier to edit and fine-tune the layers downstream - rather than working all on one layer.

Hope these few basic tips are of some help.

All the best,

Mike

hello Ivan, the X-ite concept is very good. the shape is very nice and the idea for the side window is very creative, try to practice with lights and shadows on this one. Watch and learn from the sketches of the professional designers, never copy them but learn perspective and rendering techn. from them, and you will see your work improve each year. so keep up the good work
