Hi Mauricio, thanks for your kind words but please dont worry: I left JCB because I wanted a new challenge, and still have a very good working relationship with them. The VW work was fantastic, a realyl great opportunity. I did a 6 month initial contract with them, which they were offering to make permanent - but I wanted to come back to the UK to spend more time with my family and grow the business / develop more clients.I'm still regularly in touch with the VW team, and will go back for more at some point, I'm sure.

I think it is really bad you going out of JCB Excavators. I liked the projects there a lot, when i saw here. But maybe your decisions in your environment, i really one day to had the opportunity like you. But keep doing what you love. Why did not worked good with VW Postdam, when you are extrem talented with Alias?

Hello Mike, I notice you also got a message from Ledanois like i did, and as i have no experience, i would like to ask you some advice? Is it interesting to work freelance for such an agent? And what can i expect from a company like that?... It would be nice if you had some advice for me.
Thanks

For what it's worth pal, I've sent my endosement to Monsieur B.
When I read your e-mails (late tonight) I just kept saying what?? what?? WHAT????
Our thoughts & comments about the 3* system is not a crticism, but a suggestion for a better method for all to judge the HUGE spread of talent they are dealing with. The spread of talent between old gits like me & pre-adolescents with an etch-o-sketch & a car fetish is NOT going to be easily covered between 0-3.
There you go guys, my five penneth worth too.

Speak soon

Gaz.

Hi Mike

I just can't believe what this page has done to you, all your cool trucks and other amazing designs had beed deleted, and you know what? I think this isn't coincidence, this problem started just when we started to send comments about the 3 STARS rating of this page wich SUCKS! and has no fair or sense.

It's extremely UNFAIR........

All this happen because we don't agree with this system, this is strange and absolutly crazy. I can believe that some guys in this page have 2 or 3 stars when they are worse than me, i have no words.......

I just want to thank your courage and nice way to resolve problems, i really like the way u do it. Just don't let this page botter you, your not a liar as they think you are, THEY are liars!

I don't care about nothing now i'll just continue doing cars because that's what i like to do since i remember.

Good luck man, god bless you.....BYE.

THANKS TO EVERYBODY THAT AGREE WITH US......

Wow! Jim! Why didn't I realise it myself? This explains so many different things:

1. The number of slaps in the face I regularly get from outrageously attractive women that I've never met before.

2. The way I always have waiters leave their thumbs in my soup in restaurants I've never been to before.

3. The way that my work colleagues think I'm an extrovert psycopath, when I'm actually a mild mannered janitor.

4. The fact that I've got a barcode tatooed on the back of my neck, which when scanned says "Number 5 of 25,000"

5. The fact that whenever I watch Bladerunner I always cry when Rutger Hauer dies at the end...

OK, so I'm a replicant! COOL!

Can I please have my images back now?

Hmm, this is strange, the only explanation is that you have been cloned, and therefore you did not directly do the work....you think the same, design the same and have the same memories of the work but it was the other Mike Turner that produced the work. man.

Message to Joao:

yeah I may have courage, but Mr B just cut my balls off... I've just had half my portfolio deleted - all the work I've done in industry over the past 11 years.

Basically, he maintains that it's not my work. Has my career been a lie? Maybe someone should tell my current employers, as according to Designerspace management I've done no work for JCB in the past 5 years...

Is this some kind of sick joke? Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow to find all my images reinstated and it will all have been a bad dream.

Ain't it strange that all this happens at the same time that I question the integrity of Mr B's 3 star rating system??

Coincidence or censorship?

- I'll let you descide, my friend.

All the best,

Mike

Hi Rok,

Thanks for your interest in my work.

For all my initial sketchwork I still rely on good old fashioned biro - I scan the hand drawn images into Photoshop and use a Wacom Intuous to apply all colour work.

All my 3D modelling work (and the vast bulk of the renderings) are done using Autodesk (nee Alias) Studiotools software - sometimes with a bit of post-editing in Photoshop.

Some of the most recent renderings are produced using a brand new bit of software from Autodesk called Showcase. It's a high-end real-time visualisation tool - so you get this quality of image in real-time (awesome, but true) - you can pan round it, zoom in etc. It's the most amazing bit of kit I've experienced, and I'm convinced it's going to make a big difference to the way professional designers present new concepts in the future . . .

I hope this answer helps!

All the best,

Mike

Hi Mike, after your comment I am desperate to watch the film " Le Mans "!!! There is a long time I saw it but I don't remember very well.
I want to greet you for the wonderful work with the 917K.....was it wonderful with impressionist " finish " that you did, and do I disagree on " improving the perfection ", because even a Diva as " La Deneuve ", for instance, needs also a lifting once in a while, you agree???

Congratulations and a hug,
Joćo.

Great perspective of how we can change the ordinary sense of reality that surround us!
Nowadays no one stops to give atention to details, because people don“t feel stimulated to do so!
We can, with simple daily things try to stimulate people to learn and feel things that not were taught.
Good work!
