Hi Joao,
regarding your question about the pixelized pictures i would like to know how do you shorten your files? which program do you use in order to shorten your files? photoshop?.. if so which version?.
this is what i do using photoshop cs2:
1: i select the layer where the car image it is placed
2: go to "edit" - "transform"- "scale"
3: position the mouse in the corner of the selected layer then keep pressed the "shift key" (in your keyboard) and at the same time resize.
this way you´ll keep the quality of your draws, i hope this help but as i said above i would like to know your resizing process.

Thanks for the comments on my latest work Joao, and i always try do use something new, because i find 80% of all the designs pretty boring and not that creative,sometimes it looks like they copy eachother, and whats the point designing something that already exists?. So i used a flat 90° front windscreen for my latest concept, it's unusual but was a eyecatcher!!!

Thanks for all the comments on my latest project Joao!! It seems we have the same intrest and visions on car design...bringing back the americans back to the top. My vision...americans are always cool and fast...Europeans etc... mostly slow and boring. So that is why i like your designs and also because of your expressive renders and use of perspective .
The red car on the bottem of the last board is the same of the red Road Warrior above but with some more shiny paint, i did not post all my work of this project, more then -120 sketches are made and some other photoshops are in progress. After posting these designs on designerspace i made 20 new sketches of the Ford Trax. So this project has not come to an end. |

Hi Joao,
The maximum resolution of DS is about 710 px wide. If your picture is more wide than this, the quality will be really bad. If you have photoshop, go to File>> Automate>> Fit Image... then put 710 in the box of width. I hope it helps. When you have finished, post on DS to see the result. Good Luck. |

Jony, I did click sometime on my own picture. It is not to put it on the top 3 but to see if I have some comments. I'm sure that with my few clicks, it won't put it mon the top 3. Maybe 1 or 2 times a day I click on it to see if there is any comments, but that's all. Thanks for telling me this anyway. I will be careful about this later. But what should I do to see the comments without clicking on my picture? Should I enter my portfolio for that? I know that the click podium doesn't mean anyting because people can click on a picture just by curiosity. It doesn't rank designs at all. Now I'am fine with one star and I think that it's what I deserve now. So I'm not running after the second star. I just want to get better by practicing and getting other's point of view on my designs. Anyway good luck with your design. Bye

Envy me for living in Belgium? it's a beautifull country but has one important downside!!to much social security, no security is bad, but to much is worse. If you don't want to work...no problem..you get lots of money for not working...so many many do nothing. For people like me very difficult, nobody understands me why i want to go up in live...finding a girlfriend that understands that is almost impossible, it's much easyer to do little or nothing and getting payed for it. So i feel very lonely...but with my wacom, pencil and Toy cars i feel good.
It's true that to many details sometimes disturb the concept, when designing a new mustang..details are welkom but designing a whole new concept is better with less details, they can be added at a later stage. Look at the concepts of the design studio's: VW, mazda,...these are very simple, when it comes to a production car (?) details are added.
Designing is so much fun!! and i like your Dodges, like to see more |

Thanks for the comment on my latest Attitude design, i was pleased with my result (car and rendering), the original has very sharp colors and reflection, by increasing the file from 350 MB to 150kb it lost some detail.It was a test for me again to paint on a different level of Photoshop (don't like to do the same over and over), and as usual lost a star again, so you see...don't worry about stars, they go up and down...like a plane...it has to come down sometimes

Hey man thanks for checkin' out my portfolio! Ye, the reason I don't have such good rendering skills is because I never learned from anyone or anything, I just tried it I got some stuff. I don't know how to use paths, so that greatly limits my abilities. and draw, then scan then I paint it. I wish I had the kinda money to buy a digital pad, they are awesome!!!! Yeah next years I'm a college class in high school in graphic arts and I'll learn.
